Kate Bookout calls Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan home, alongside her husband, Brett, their two dogs, and two children. Kate and her family are season ticket holders for the Moose Jaw Warriors, enjoy time outdoors and enjoy exploring what the valley near their home has to offer.
As a Bachelor of Kinesiology graduate, Kate has had the opportunity to work with a variety of clientele within the health and wellness industry. While working in the industry, she became unsure of her desired career path. She further explored her passion for helping others through supporting persons of varying abilities in residential and community settings. It was not until the birth of her daughter, Cedar, that she discovered her desired career path.
As a new mother, Kate acknowledged the lack of accessibility to wellness programs for mothers in her community. This inspired her to further her education by working to become a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. With this certification, along with her current education, it is her goal to provide accessible wellness classes not only for mothers, but all women. Kate is a strong advocate of movement for mental health, body positivity, and focusing on the mental benefits of exercise. Through Orange Door Collective Wellness, Kate hopes to inspire women to embrace their bodies and foster a healthy relationship with themselves.
